Ground Icing Checklists
Download these checklists for use at the field. These checklists provide ground-icing related guidance from pre-flight to departure. Feel free to modify them for your particular aircraft. There are two checklists, one for protected aircraft (certified for flight in icing) and one for unprotected aircraft.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
The FAA is responsible for the safety of civil aviation in the United States. Its major roles include: regulating civil aviation to promote safety, encouraging and developing civil aeronautics, developing and operating a system of air traffic control and navigation for both civil and military aircraft, researching and developing the National Airspace System and civil aeronautics, developing and carrying out programs to control aircraft noise and other environmental effects of civil aviation, and regulating U.S. commercial space transportation.

Joint Aviation Authorities
The Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) is an associated body of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) representing the civil aviation regulatory authorities of a number of European States who have agreed to co-operate in developing and implementing common safety regulatory standards and procedures. This co-operation is intended to provide high and consistent standards of safety and a "level playing-field" for competition in Europe. Much emphasis is also placed on harmonising the JAA regulations with those of the USA.
