Module Overview Fluid Basics

There are a variety of different ways to de/anti-ice aircraft. One common method is de/anit-icing fluids. By understanding the way these fluids work, you will be better able to make decisions about which fluid to use and to anticipate what could go wrong.

In this module, we will discuss:

  • How fluids work
  • Which fluid(s) to use
  • What can go wrong

We will discuss De-icing Operations in Module IV and Anti-icing Operations in Module V.
